The
Saengerfest Men's Chorus is made up of about 70
male choristers based in the Greater Boston area. It was officially
formed in 1992 after some 45 members of the parent Saengerfest
were invited by the officers of the London Welsh Male Voice
Choir to participate in the latter's Festival of Welsh Male
Choirs in London's Royal Albert Hall.
Since
then, the chorus has sung numerous benefit concerts in New
England supporting a variety of charities. It has returned
to London three times and in addition, has appeared in Toronto,
Canada and at Salisbury and Winchester Cathedrals in England
and WGBH-FM radio in Boston
A
subgroup called "Sound Investment",
A Very Large A Cappella Men's Octet, is a throw-back to the
days of college octets and glee clubs. An outgrowth of the
Saengerfest Men's Chorus and the parent Saengerfest, it was
formed in 2003 to add another dimension to the Men's Chorus
concerts. The ensemble performs timeless favorites to appeal
to a variety of musical tastes including among others, Blue
Skies, Mood Indigo, Dear Hearts and Gentle People, I Left
My Heart in San Francisco. .

Chorus is a tax exempt oroganization [501(c)(3)]
